As a tutor, I am always certain to get to know my students and treat them with respect. First we explore what their needs are and then plan how to accomplish their goals. I am an excellent writer and am extremely competent in English; I am the perfect tutor to help guide students who are writing papers. I am proficient in a number of other areas as well and am available to tutor students in such subjects as algebra, mathematics, anatomy, European and American history, grammar and mechanics, literature, essay editing, reading, AP courses, and SAT and other test preparation.I earned my undergraduate degree in English with philosophy and theater as foci from the University of Dallas in Texas. I went on to complete my master's degree in English with a medieval literature concentration at Saint Louis University in Missouri. I have extensive tutoring and teaching experience, from college English courses and tutoring at the university's graduate writing center, to mentoring students in an after school program, to teaching high school and elementary school classes in a variety of subjects. In my free time I like to pursue my many interests and hobbies including running, baseball, computer science, news, politics, art, and theater.
