I live in the Chesterfield, MO area, and I am a current student at Truman State University. I am seeking a bachelor's degree in English and a master's degree in education. I will be traveling home for the summer and will be available for tutoring during that time. I have previously tutored many subjects such as chemistry, geometry, algebra, and English. I was previously a cadet instructor and tutor while in high school, and I was active in tutoring programs within my community. The subjects I am most proficient to tutor are English, essay writing, and ACT preparation, and my preference would be to tutor in these courses (though I will take on other courses if that is what is needed). I am also available to teach literature, grammar and mechanics, European history, American history, public speaking, and biology. I am willing to tutor students from elementary school through college, and I strive to provide a fun learning environment. My philosophy is that education should not feel like a chore. I enjoy spending time with children a great deal and have found that the educational platform is of greater impact when it is combined with fun and laughter. While not teaching or attending classes, I like to sing and play my ukulele. I also like reading and writing.
