Experience
I'm currently attending Washington University in St. Louis on the premedical track, where I'm studying for my bachelor's degree in biology and anthropology. I've been very involved on campus, and I enjoy helping people in any way that I can. I believe that people can help others should help others, and tutoring is another opportunity for me to do that. I have utilized tutoring myself, so I understand how valuable it can be in helping students overcome learning obstacles and achieve success. I have learned from my own tutors how to approach students based on their needs and learning style, and I've picked up several strategies and techniques for efficient and effective learning. I'm excited to tutor students in subjects like anatomy, physiology, algebra through the college level, geometry, chemistry, pre-algebra, general science subjects, middle school math, government and politics, AP exam preparations, and test preparation for the ACT. In my spare time, I enjoy figuring out other ways that I can help the world. I'm currently working with some friends to develop a hotline for people in South Africa to get help when they are at risk. We have been piloting this concept in the St. Louis area, and it's been very successful.
