I am a tutor with an extensive background in science. I graduated from Saint Louis University with a bachelor's degree in physiology and cell biology. I also minored in history. While in college, I gained experience as a tutor in biology, chemistry, and organic chemistry. I often helped my friends and younger students in these courses. I also gained experience by tutoring students in math at the middle school level. I am also available to help students develop effective study habits and help students prepare for standardized tests. I am especially qualified to help students prepare for the ACT. My favorite subjects to tutor are chemistry and biology. My philosophy as a tutor emphasizes utilizing a question and answer style of teaching. I focus on going over concepts with my students and making sure that they have a firm grasp on the material. I love to learn and work through difficult problems. My goal as a tutor is to share my passion for learning with others. In my free time, I enjoy running, baking, reading, and riding my horse. My horse is a white and black paint horse named Hans. I am also a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals.
